Immediately after the cease of the Second World War people started to believe that the world’s core principles are simple and logical . Both politics and social relations were relying on the concepts of advancement , positive changes , trust in the logical , understanding , progress , and the potential to ground any activity from a logical viewpoint . Nevertheless , beginning from the second half of the 60’s, the world commenced to degrade and now , 40 years thereafter , we find ourselves in a different kind of actuality .
We easily note all changes which are brought to us by new technology, but we barely come to realize the fact that there are some ideas which the author has put behind those technological solutions. The core of the expected adjustment was initially noticed by those people, who more often than not lived anteceding their time – writers and authors. Among the multiple authors whose works have served for pleasure , there have been several of them who have given the planet a new picture of the future . They have better than others other authors molded and voiced authentic thoughts and have finally molded a fresh intelligent and perceptual analysis of the future. They have noticed challenges in the mundane of our lives and have unveiled a set of problems, which were existing without being noticed . They have assisted us to realize the new issues , and sent us new aspirations .
These were the authors who have shaped the thoughts of the entire generation, which has observed the period of dramatic change; change, which was viewed as anarchy at the beginning of the 21 first century. They have made us focus our attention to the most problematic questions of the last epoch ; those dilemmas , which the humankind , having survived through the global wars and unprecedented number of deaths, was reluctant to meet . In the end they were formulating the most important issue “How will we live in the world of future?”
In this paper we will specify some of the most well known authors of the last century. They have all significantly influenced literature of their time, have depicted tendencies and dilemmas which were typical to their countries and the times they were living in, and have made the readers think about the existing ideology of moral, having them understand that it is far away from being ideal. One of the most important aspects of their writing is that in often they have awake the audience interest in books and written works. In this aspect one of the most interesting success stories is that of a brilliant writer Lewis Carroll .
The success of Joan Rowling can be named special as she has become the first writer in the world to earn $1 billion by writing fairytales. She is currently spending a great part of her earnings on charity, battling poverty and diseases. The idea of the book was invented while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first agreed to bring out her book, she has awarded her 1500 pounds together with a friendly advice — to find a stable job. He was hesitant of the idea that the young author would be able to make money of writing. Joann has demonstrated the opposite - having written a series of exceptional fairytales, she has made the so-called non-reading generation get back to reading.
This work cannot enumerate and more or less precisely list all authors who have given their gift to the nowadays literature. They have been writing and putting ideas directly into the thoughts of the people, and thus were influencing the future. therefore, as we can see, these authors were not writing for enjoyment only, but they were also playing a significant role in molding the culture and the looks of a civilization of the 20th century.
